Fluorescent pigment have four times greater visibility than similar nonfluorescent ones and this has led to applications demanding higher visual impact and consequently they play a major role iin safely , identification advertising and merchandise .
Fluorescent pigment has been used mainly for print use in textile, field ,however recently it has been frequently used for padding ,this due to diversifications in fashion and in the development of textile processing technology .with the expansion of sports and leisure specially in ski and marine sports it is becoming more widely used for clothing related to these fields

INDUSTRIAL : 

Fluorescent products are used for safety exits ,pipe lines fireetiguishers , valves ,danger areas ,hazard
making ,protective clothing headgear and any other application where in stant recognition is vital .

MILITARY :
Fluorescent products are used marking aircraft ,naval vassals ,ground equipment ,landing equipment ,twotarget ,wind cones ,lift jackets and in many other articles where instant identification or rapid location is important  .

THE PHENOMENON OF SFLUORESCENCE :  
the outstanding feature of fluorescent pigments is the basic principle of daylightfluoresence fluorescent pigments like ordinary conventional pigments . absorb white light with the exception of their self cooler which is reflected and seen however in addition fluorescent pigments also absorb ultra violet light and e-mail this as visible light corresponding too the fluorescent pigment shade in this way the pigments e-mail more visible light than they receive and consequently appear as very bright color even in poor daylight condition such as dusk and dawn .


CHEMISTRY:   

The principal daylight fluorescent pigments are based on dilute solution of dyes such as phodamin or the aminonapthalimides preparation intrazine modified sulphomamideresin  the resin type is an extremely triable organice glass that is found by co-condensing a toluene sulfonamide formaldehyde with trizine such melamine or benzo ・guanamine

BLEEDING IN SOLVENTS:
Procedure:500mg of the dry pigment powder is shaken with 20ml of solvent at room temperature for 10 minutes and than filtered through a no:42(equivalent )filter paper with barrytes bed . the colour of filtrate is observed (visually ) and rated as 5 if there is no bleed and 1 if the  bleed is considerable with gradation in between .

VISIBLITY:
Fluorescent pigment are about four times more visible than the nearest and brightest non fluorescent colour and are most effective in condition of lighting dusk or down their relative visibility varies some what with the conditions under which they are seen the comparative  table below includes a high reflective white paint and aluminum paint .
